Greet en Hannelore:

In the 1920s and 1930s, Greet grew up in the tranquility of the Dutch countryside. Due to a stupidity she is arrested by the Germans at the age of 23. In the stuffiness of an inhumanely overcrowded car, she meets Sarah, a Jewess. At Camp Ravensbrück, their friendship gives her the strength and confidence to get through the long, cold days and endure all the fears of death.

Hannelore, Aufseherin in Camp Ravensbrück, fulfills her duties with German pride. Still, the barbaric treatment of prisoners begins to irk her, especially the often careless choices between life and death. In the aftermath of the war, the meeting with Greet turns everything upside down. Will Hannelore let her conscience speak or will she remain faithful to the collapsing German Reich?
