Mother Ekster sees Mrs. Heggenmus sitting on her eggs.
There are four of them and they have a bright blue-green color. She sees how the hedge sparrow keeps moving in the nest. She gets up and sits down again. As if she can't find her way. “Are you not comfortable on your nest?” Mother Ekster asks, flying down. “No, not at all,” Mrs Heggenmus grumbles. “My eggs fit well under me. Now it feels like someone put a rock in my nest.”
Mrs. Heggenmus turns out not to be the only one with a strange egg in the nest. What bird does such a thing? How come Samantha Sperwer harassed the magpies? And are the brothers Freddy and Eddy making up again?
Kabouter Speurneus is scratching his head under his pointed hat. He knows one thing for sure. This will be an exciting adventure!
