Lyss's village was wiped out. He fled and reached the land of
Horm. The murders turned out to be the work of the Zîn. He killed an
important leader and traveled with Yossi, an escaped forced laborer,
to Soden, where General Ichtoral discovered Lyss's military talent. He became officer, drove out the Zîn, and
then went with his beloved Miluna to Diriam, where
he found insufficient answers in the library. The lovers continued on to Zinthan,
the imperial city of Oftinguanxe.
Lyss lost Miluna, believed her
dead, and fled to the Delta
of the Salwen. There he built up a
military force and marched into
Zinthan for the final reckoning.
Joost Thissen:
Joost (born 1956) was an early fan of fantasy. While studying General Linguistics, he began writing Machten van Anir (The Powers of Anir). This story takes place in another world, yet one that closely resembles our own.
Due to a busy schedule, the continuation of this story had to wait for several decades.
He recently completed this tale about cruel rulers and opponents who stand up for their freedom in a world where much is not what it seems.
ProBeeld (Ton de Koning) is responsible for the cover design.
