Gooch, de verhalen verteller:

Gooch lives in the friendly village of Groote Eik on the edge of the Groote Heide. In six stories we get to know Gooch and the other inhabitants. Stories with their own atmosphere and yet everyday with recognizable situations for young and old.

In 'The story of the ballast carrier' Gooch takes so much on his shoulders that it becomes a very heavy burden.
In 'The story of the thief everyone knows' we discover that to err is very human.
In 'The story of the place that never disappears' Aunt Wrangel tells about her first love.
In 'The story of things that don't go the way they go' there is turmoil surrounding a decision by Drivvy, Gooch's sister.
In 'The story of prosperity, nothing but prosperity' Gooch discovers that you are stronger together than alone.
In "The Story of Things as They Go" Cupid does his job and Gooch discovers what he really wants to become.
Ingrid Friesen drew striking images.

Leo van Boekel:

Leo van Boekel (1962 - 2022) told stories in many ways: as a creative therapist, musician, percussion teacher, pedagogical employee, actor. After a cerebral infarction, he chose the pen. This keeps his stories alive and readable for everyone.

In consultation with the family, it was decided to publish Leo's debut posthumously.
