“It is with some trepidation that I let you read the email below, which I sent to my Chief in screaming emotion the next morning after a virtual meeting.”
“And so it is that this now famous symbol, this Tumidus Bolus, adorns the wall in almost every office of every self-respecting manager, to the honor and glory of the most beautiful profession on earth.”
“Look what's in that waste basket, a broken toner cartridge. Gives me an idea. Moment.”
“And then you were sitting there. In the middle. The distinguished gentlemen strongly support you. Like hens. As bodyguards. And I am in morning spheres: which means that the morning fog in my head was still far from lifted.”
Dirk Bos:
Dirk (Ostend, 1962) made his debut at Ambilicious two years ago with “Klei-Mens”, a collection of stories loosely based on his youth. This second book - he calls it an "intermediate book" - takes place among the bizarre fabrics of an office workplace. Sometimes absurd and crazy, but also hilarious or covered in a vitriol sauce. The titles of the stories speak volumes. Don't expect literary highlights, but an entertaining book in which many will recognize themselves in a crazy mood.
